Abstract

This technical note aims to compare the variation in the growth of the area occupied by favelas in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, focusing on those that have been or are being benefited by the city's favela urbanization program, the well-known Favela-Bairro, and the most important "post-construction" project: the implementation and operation of the Pouso - Urban and Social Guidance Post.
