Abstract

The universe of the household victimization survey was the population aged 15 and over in the city of Rio de Janeiro. According to the 2000 Census, the municipality of Rio de Janeiro had 4,534,322 residents aged 15 and over; in 2006, the projection calculated by IBGE was 4,658,482 people.
