Monthly Employment Survey by IBGE for the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro: 2002/2006

Abstract

The Municipality of Rio de Janeiro stood out in the composition of the labor market over the last 57 months, by presenting the lowest unemployment rate compared to the rates observed in the regions investigated by the IBGE Monthly Employment Survey. The chart below shows the historical series for the city, each of the six metropolitan regions, as well as the total of these regions. At the end, a table with the complete series of the unemployment rate that generated this chart is presented, along with a glossary of the main concepts used here.
